Microwave Directions: Do not leave microwave unattended while cooking potatoes. 1 Add: Add water to 1 1/2-quart microwavable casserole dish. 2 Microwave: Microwave on high 2:00. 3 Add: Add potatoes; stir until well blended. Microwave on high 2:30 to 3:30. Caution: Handle carefully; dish may be hot! 4 Stir: Stir. Microwave times developed using 1000-watt microwave ovens. Due to differences in microwave ovens, cooking times may need to be adjusted. Make It Like Betty: For stiffer potatoes, let stand 3 to 5 minutes. For less stiff potatoes, stir in more milk, 1 tablespoon at a time. For food safety and quality, follow the cooking directions. Refrigerate leftovers. Tear open at notch.
