Safe Handling Instructions: This is made with raw corn, so it is not ready-to-eat and must be thoroughly cooked before eating to prevent illness. Quick Cheese Grits: 2 cups water; 1/2 cup Quaker Quick grits; 4 ounces pasteurized prepared cheese product; Cubed dash garlic powder (optional); Paprika. In a saucepan slowly stir grits into boiling water. Reduce heat to medium-low; cover. Cook 4-5 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally. Add cheese and garlic powder; Continue cooking until cheese melts, about 2-3 minutes. Sprinkle with paprika. 4 Servings. Cooking instructions: Servings: 1: Grits 1/4 cup; Water 1 cup; Salt (Optional) Dash. Servings: 4: Grits; 1 cup; Water 4 cups; Salt (Optional) 1/4 tsp. Servings: 6: Grits 1-1/2 cup; Water 6 cups; Salt (Optional) 1/2 tsp. Stove Top: 1. Slowly stir grits and salt into briskly boiling water. 2. Reduce heat to medium to-low; Cover. Cook 5 to 7 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Microwave (1 serving): Combine water, grits and salt in 2 cup microwave-safe bowl; Stir. 2.
