Grits, Stone Ground, White
Instructions
Preparation for 6 Servings: 1 cup grits; 2-1/2 cups water; 1-1/2 cups half & half; 2 tbs butter; 1 tsp salt. Mix all ingredients in saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer 30 minutes; cook longer for extra creamy grits. Stir often. Add water or milk to thin (if necessary). Store uncooked grits in freezer to preserve freshness.
