Instructions
Crispy Fish Fry: Prep Time - 10 min. Cook time: 7-10 min. Servings - 6 -8. Shopping List: Up to 2 pounds fish or peeled deveined shrimp. 1 cup buttermilk or milk. 1 egg. Prep for Frying & Air Frying: 1. Place the entire packet of dry mix in a shallow bowl. Whisk together the buttermilk and egg in a separate shallow bowl. 2. Working in batches: Dredge the fish or shrimp in the dry seasoning. Dip the fish or shrimp into the liquid, allowing excess to drain. Give the fish a second roll in the dry mix. Prep for baking: Place the entire packet of dry mix in shallow bowl. Coat the fish or shrimp in spray oil, then dredge both sides in the dry mix. Cook (to internal temperature of 145 degrees F) Fry: 350 degrees F until the crust is golden. Serve immediately with lemon wedges and hot sauce, if desired. All fry at 380-400 degrees F*. Evenly coat the cooking surface and top surface of fish or shrimp with spray oil before air. Frying for 5-6 min. Flip the pieces, coat with more spray oil and air fry an additional 2-4 min. (less for shrimp, more for thicker filets), or until golden. * Air fryer temperatures vary; adjust cooking times as needed. Bake at 450 degrees F. Coat the baking sheet and top surface of fish with spray oil before baking for 8-10 min. (do not flip), or until the top is crisp and golden. Tear here.
