It's made with real honey and no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives, so you can feel good about sharing it with family and friends. Our cornbread brings authentic Southern taste to your meals. It provides a subtle sweetness to perfectly pair with traditional New Orleans dishes like Zatarain's Red Beans & Rice or a pot of Zatarain's Gumbo. It’s so convenient- just add milk, butter and an egg to the mix and bake in a baking pan for cornbread or a muffin tin for corn muffins. Jazz it up by adding canned corn, ground cinnamon or Zatarain's® Creole Seasoning. The prepared cornbread also makes a quick and easy start for your favorite stuffing recipe.
Instructions
You'll Need: 1/2 cup milk; 6 tablespoons butter, melted; 1 egg. Heat oven to 375degF with rack in middle position. Spray 8-inch square baking pan with no-stick cooking spray. Stir Cornbread Mix, milk, butter and egg in large bowl just until moistened. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean and cornbread is golden brown. ...and if you want to make Corn Muffins: Lightly grease or line 9 muffin cups with paper baking cups. Prepare batter as directed above. Spoon 1/4 cup batter into each muffin cup. Bake in preheated 375degF oven 15 to 18 minutes or until toothpick inserted into muffin comes out clean. Makes 9 muffins.
