Purple Rice, Organic
Instructions
What You Need: 1 cup Ocean's Halo Purple Rice (or your favorite mix of purple & white sticky rice). 1-1/2 cup water. 1 Tbsp sugar. 1/2 tsp salt. 1/4 cup rice vinegar. How to Cook It: 1. Rinse rice 2-3 times until the water runs clear. 2. Put rice and water in a pot and bring to a boil, cover and simmer for 30 minutes. 3. Remove from the heat and let sit for 10 minutes, covered. 4. Heat the vinegar, salt and sugar together in a small saucepan, to dissolve sugar. 5. Fluff rice with a fork and gently stir in the vinegar mixture. 6. Let cool for about 15 minutes before using. *If using a rice cooker, use the same rice to water ratio and add vinegar mixture after cooking. Great for sushi rolls & poke bowls!
