Adluh Self-Rising Yellow Corn Meal
Instructions
Self rising corn meal recipes Adluh hoe cakes 12 hoe cakes: 2 cups Adluh enriched self-rising corn meal . 1-3/4 cups boiling water (about). Measure corn meal into mixing bowl. Add enough water to make a stiff batter: beat well. Drop large scoops of batter onto greased and preheated skillet or griddle and flatten to 1/2-inch thickness. Bake over low heat until brown and crisp, turning once. Adluh muffins, corn sticks, corn bread: 2 cups Adluh self-rising corn meal. 1 tbsp sugar (optional). 1 egg. 1-1/4 cups sweet milk. 3 tbsp soft or melted fat. Set oven control to 475 degrees for oven to preheat. Mix together egg, milk and fat. Add all at once to dry ingredients; pour the batter into hot greased muffin pans, filling about 2/3 full. Pop quickly into preheated oven. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes. For corn stick, bake in corn stick molds; for corn bread, bake in shallow pan 9 inches x 9 inches x 2 inches. Do not eat raw mix or batter.
