Adluh Plain All Purpose Flour
Instructions
Safe Handling Instructions: Do not consume raw flour or dough. Biscuits: 2 cups sifted Adluh flour. 3 teaspoons baking powder. 1 teaspoon salt. 2 to 3 tablespoons shorting. 2/3 cup milk. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Cut in shortening. Add milk to make a soft dough, stirring enough to make ingredients hold together. Turn out on lightly floured board, knead for a half minute. Roll or pat out 1/4 inch thick. Cut. Bake on greased baking sheet in oven (475 degrees F) to 10 minutes, depending on taste. Yield: 18-2 inch biscuits. White Cake: 2 cups sifted Adluh flour. 1-1/4 cups sugar. 2-1/2 teaspoons baking powder. 3/4 teaspoon salt. 1/2 cup shorting. 3/4 cup milk. 3 Unbeaten egg whites. 1 teaspoon vanilla. Step 1. Stir dry ingredients together in mixing bowl, add shortening and 1/2 cup milk. Blend ingredients then beat 200 strokes (2 minutes). Add remaining milk, egg whites and vanilla. Blend ingredients, then beat 200 strokes (2 minutes). Pour batter into 8 inches greased and floured pans and bake (350 degrees F) 25 to 30 minutes. Let cake cool 10 minutes and cover with your favorite icing.
