Ingredients

  1. 1 Pound Fresh Strawberries, Hulled And Sliced (Or 1 Pound Bag Frozen Strawberries, Thawed)
  2. 3-4 Tablespoons Honey
  3. 2 Tablespoons Chia Seeds

Directions

  • In medium saucepan, add strawberries and honey and heat over medium to soften berries, stirring to combine.
  • Once softened, mash with potato masher or fork.
  • Allow mixture to come to slow boil, stirring almost continually. When large bubbles surface, add chia seeds.
  • Turn heat to low and continue stirring another 15 minutes. Remove pan from stove.
  • Pour jam in to quart jar and allow to cool on counter.
  • Once cool, cover tightly, and refrigerate to thicken.
  • NOTES:
  • If you prefer a smoother texture, pulse mixture in blender a few times before pouring in to jar.
  • Because this recipe contains no preservatives, you will need to use or freeze it within a few days.
