Sauteed Shiitake Mushrooms

Ingredients

  1. 1 Pound Fresh Shiitake Mushrooms
  2. 3 Tablespoons Low-Sodium Chicken Or Vegetable Broth
  3. 2 Cloves Garlic
  4. 2 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Oil
  5. Salt & Pepper To Taste
  6. Optional: 2 Tablespoons Each Of Fresh Rosemary, Oregano Or Feta Cheese

Directions

  • Chop garlic & let sit for 5 minutes to enhance its health-promoting properties.
  • Remove stems from mushrooms & slice or chop (depending on preference).
  • Heat broth in skillet. When broth begins to steam, add mushrooms & garlic then cook covered for 3 minutes.
  • Remove skillet cover & let cook for 4 more minutes.
  • Toss with olive oil and season with salt & pepper and other optional ingredients.
