SausageWorks Irish Twisted Sausage
Who says you need to wait for St. Patrick's Day to enjoy this Irish dish? For a festive twist, substitute broth with your favorite brown ale or lager.
Ingredients
- 6 Sausageworks Brats
- 8-10 Red Potatoes, Quartered (1 Pick & Prep Container)
- 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
- 3 Leeks, White Part Only, Chopped
- 1 Bunch Kale Chopped
- 1/4 Cup Sugar
- 1 Tablespoon Cider Vinegar
- 1/4 Cup Spicy Brown Mustard
- 1 14oz Can Chicken Broth
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
Directions
Preheat oven to 375. Coat potatoes and sausage with half the oil and roast in oven until the sausage has browned and the potatoes can be easily pierced with a fork. Wash and rinse leeks and cut into half circles (about a 1/2 inch thick). Wash and chop greens. Combine sugar, vinegar, mustard, salt and pepper to make a sauce. Add remaining oil and leeks to a sauté pan and lightly brown. Add broth and half the sauce mixture above and greens. Cook until tender and set aside. Remove potatoes and sausage from oven. Toss potatoes with remaining sauce.
