SausageWorks Cornbread Muffins
Who needs a plain muffin when you can have the great taste of SausageWorks Sausage combined with cornbread?
Ingredients
- 6 Links Of Your Favorite Sausageworks Sausage - Cooked
- 1 Cup Of Cornmeal
- 1/2 Cup Of All-Purpose Flour
- 1/4 Cup Of Shortening - Melted
- 1/2 Cup Of Milk
- 1 Cup Of Buttermilk
- 1 Egg
- 1/2 Teaspoon Of Baking Soda
- 1 Tablespoon Of Baking Powder
Directions
Begin heating oven to 425 degrees. In a large bowl, mix together cornmeal, salt, and flour. In a different bowl, mix the egg, milk and butter milk. To the egg and milk mixture, add in the baking soda and baking powder. Add the cornmeal, salt and flour mixture to the egg and milk mixture. Stir in the melted shortening. Cut sausages into pieces. Fill greased muffin tins about half-way. Press one sausage piece into center of each tin. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Enjoy!
