This decadent brunch star needs to sit 12 hours before baking. Put it together the night before and pop it in the oven for a sweet, rich start to your morning.

Ingredients

  1. 12 Slices Firm White Bread, Cut Into 1/2” Cubes (About 8 Cups)
  2. 2 Cups Fresh Blueberries, Divided
  3. 1 8-Ounce Package Cream Cheese, Cut Into Small Cubes
  4. 8 Eggs
  5. 2 1/2 Cups Milk
  6. 2 Teaspoons Cinnamon
  7. 1 Cup Pancake Syrup, Divided
  8. 1/4 Cup Packed Brown Sugar

Directions

  • Spray 9x13” baking dish with cooking spray. Spread half the bread cubes onto bottom of dish.
  • Cover with 1 cup blueberries, cream cheese and remaining bread.
  • In medium bowl, whisk eggs, milk and cinnamon until well blended. Add 1/3 cup syrup and sugar; mix well. Pour over bread.
  • Cover and refrigerate 12 hours or overnight.
  • Bake strata, covered at 350°, 30 minutes. Uncover and bake another 30 minutes, or until center is set and top is lightly browned.
  • Bring remaining syrup and blueberries to boil in saucepan, stirring constantly; reduce heat to medium-low and simmer 1 minute, stirring constantly. Pour over individual servings of strata.
