Garlic Basil Coconut Rice
Instructions
Cooking: On the Stovetop: 1. Bring 1-3/4 cups water to a boil in covered pot. Add 1 tbsp butter or oil, if desired. 2. Add contents of box. Stir and cover. Reduce heat to low for 15 minutes. 3. Remove from heat. Let stand covered for 5 minutes. Enjoy! In the Microwave: 1. Stir together all ingredients plus 1-3/4 cups water in a microwave-safe dish. Add 1 tbsp butter or oil, if desired. 2. Cover and microwave on high for 8 minutes. Uncover and stir. 3. Re-cover and microwave on high for 3 minutes, or until rice is soft and tender. 4. Uncover, stir, re-cover and let stand for 5 minutes. Enjoy! Serving Suggestions: As a Side Dish or Stuffing: Prepare rice as directed. Add 1 cup of any combination of: dried cranberries; raisins; nuts; your favorite sauteed vegetables. As a Main Dish: Prepare rice as directed. Add up to 2 cups of any combination of: cooked chicken, beef, pork, or seafood; sauteed vegetables; dried cranberries; nuts or raisins.
