How to Use Papa's Premium Wood Chips: Charcoal and Wood Grills and Smokers: Soak Papa's Flavored Wood Chips in water for at least 30 minutes before use for best smoking results. When your coals or wood chunks begin turning white hot, drain the water from your wood chips and spread the wet chips over your coals. The wood chips will begin to smoking quickly. Papa recommends keeping a spray bottle of water close the chips flame up. If this happens spray the chips with water. Papa also recommends adding more soaked and drained wood chips every 15 minutes or so to add even more flavor to your food. Gas and Electric Grills and Smokers: Soak Papa's Flavored Wood Chips in water for at least 30 before use for best smoking results. Once the grill has heated to proper cooking temperature, drain the water from the chips and follow directions of your grill to use the smoking box. If your grill does not have a smoking box, place drained chips in a metal device designed to hold smoking chips. Close the lid on your smoker for the best smoking results.
