Made with coriander seed, cumin, turmeric, and cardamom, this seasoning mix contains a blend of fragrant spices or "masala” that makes it nearly failproof for you to recreate this dish in the comfort of your kitchen. To prepare our easy recipe, sauté chicken breast cubes, add butter, seasoning mix, and tomato sauce, and simmer. Sir in heavy cream or half-and-half and cook until sauce is nicely thickened. Serve over cooked basmati rice and you will have a restaurant-worthy meal without having to order takeout.
Instructions
Butter Chicken: Prep Time: 10 Minutes. Cook Time: 20 Minutes. Makes 6 Servings. You Will Need: 1 pkg McCormick Seasoning Mix; 1 tbsp oil; 1 lb boneless chicken breast, cut into bite-size pieces; 2 tbsp butter; 1 can (15 oz.) tomato sauce; 1/2 cup heavy cream or half-and-half. Directions: 1. Heat oil in large skillet on medium-high heat. Add chicken; cook and stir 5 minutes or until browned on all sides. 2. Melt butter in same skillet. Add Seasoning Mix and tomato sauce. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 5 minutes. 3. Stir in cream. Simmer, uncovered, 5 minutes or until sauce is slightly thickened and chicken is cooked through, stirring occasionally. Serve over cooked basmati rice, if desired. Kitchen Tips: Substitute 1 can (15 oz.) chickpeas (drained) or cubed tofu in place of the chicken. Sprinkle with chopped fresh cilantro and serve with warm naan bread.
