Preparation Instructions: Servings: 1 serving; 1 cup water; 1/3 cup oats; dash salt (optional (For low sodium diets, omit salt)). Servings: 2 servings; 1-3/4 cups water; 2/3 cup oats; 1/8 tsp salt. Servings: 6 servings; 5 cups water; 2 cups oats; 1/4 tsp salt. Stovetop: 1. Boil water and salt. Stir in oats. 2. Cook about 5 minutes uncovered over medium heat or until desired texture. Stir occasionally. Microwave (Makes 1 Serving): 1. Combine water, salt and oats in a medium size microwave-safe bowl. 2. Microwave uncovered on high for 2-1/2 to 3 minutes. Keep watch to prevent boil over. 3. Stir well and let stand for 2 minutes before serving. Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time. Caution: Bowl and contents may be hot. Adjust water for desired thickness. Store in a cool and dry area.
