Roasting Instructions: Preparation: With tip of knife, cut 2 slits (shape of X) through the shell across round side of nut. Roast: Arrange in a single layer in a shallow pan with slit-side sown. Bake at 475 degrees F for 20-25 minutes - turning once halfway through baking time - or until outer shell and inner membrane (broken skin) peel easily. Serve: While chestnuts are warm, peel off outer shell and inner membrane (brown skin). Store unused shelled nuts in the refrigerator. For best quality, please refrigerate.
