Instructions

Preparation Instructions: Stovetop: Step 1: Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in 2-quart saucepan. Submerge 1 unopened bag of rice completely in water and boil uncovered for 8-10 minutes. Step 2: Remove bag with fork or tongs. Drain. Step 3: Carefully cut bag open and pour rice into serving dish. Fluff with fork and serve. If desired, add margarine and salt to taste. Note: Prepare 2 bags by doubling water and using 4-quart saucepan. Microwave: Step 1: Measure 4 cups hot water in 2-quart microwave-safe bowl. Submerge 1 unopened bag of rice completely in water. Step 3: Cover bowl and microwave on high 8-10 minutes. Remove bag with fork or tongs. Drain. Step 3: Carefully cut bag open and pour rice into serving dish. Fluff with fork and serve. If desired, add margarine and salt to taste. Note: Microwave ovens vary. Cooking time is approximate. Caution: Bowl and contents will be hot. For best results, use stovetop cooking method. We do not recommend using the microwave to cook multiple bags. For high altitudes, use slightly more water and allow 2-5 minutes longer cooking time. Store in a cool, dry location.
