Instructions

Roasting In-Shell Nuts: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Spread in-shell nuts on a baking sheet and roast for 20 minutes. Then carefully remove one nut, with a dish towel or pot holder, and crack it open. The meat should be lightly toasted and aromatic. If it still looks pate inside, roast a few minutes longer. Keep in mind that walnuts and almonds may take less time. Let cool, then serve. For extra freshness, store nuts in the refrigerator.
