Honey Citrus Glazed Carrots
Glazed carrots are a great side dish to any entree, with the sharp tang of citrus rounded out with the sweet flavor of honey and butter. And in addition to the honey, our friends the honey bees are responsible for pollinating the carrots!
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
- 4 cups carrots, sliced
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/2 teaspoon orange zest, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Directions
In large skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter. Add carrots and sauté for several minutes. Add honey, broth, orange juice and orange zest. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until carrots are cooked and liquid is thick. Season with salt and pepper.
