Eggnog For Everyone
A thick, creamy holiday beverage, traditionally mixed with alcohol, this version is perfect for kids or adults who aren’t indulging. Additionally, cooking everything first means no worries about serving raw eggs.
Ingredients
- 3 Cups Whole Milk
- 1 Cup Heavy Cream
- 1/2 Cup Sugar
- 4 Large Eggs
- 2 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- Freshly Grated Nutmeg
Directions
In medium nonreactive saucepan, whisk milk, cream, sugar and eggs. Cook on low, whisking constantly to avoid boiling. When mixture begins to thicken and coats back of a spoon (about 5 minutes), remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Serve immediately, sprinkled with nutmeg to taste. Or refrigerate until ready to serve, cold or reheated.
