Usage: Once re-hydrated, they can go just about anywhere fresh mushrooms can go. Stir them into rice dishes or stir-fries. Add to pasta sauces, marinades or pizzas. 1/2 oz pizza = 2 1/2 or re-hydrated. How to Use Dried Mushrooms: Prep: Rinse mushrooms in plenty of cold water, draining well and letting them air-fry. Rehydrate: Pour hot water over dried mushrooms and steep for up to half an hour until soft. Steeping times will vary by variety and size. Average one half ounce of dried mushrooms typically reconstitutes into two and a half usable ounces. Storage: To keep dried mushrooms fresh, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator or freezer.
