Oven Bags
Instructions
Preparation Instructions: 1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F for turkeys, 325 degrees F for roasts. Do not exceed 400 degrees F. 2. Coat inside of bag with 2 Tbsp flour to avoid bag bursting. Place bag in a roasting pan at least 2 inch deep. 3.Place poultry or meat in bag. Close bag with tie provided. Puncture 6 to 8 holes with a fork in the top of the bag for steam to escape. Tuck ends of bag into pan. 4. Place the pan in oven, allowing room for the bag to expand without touching heating elements, walls or racks. Oven bag should not hang over pan. 5.Bake according to recipe or chart. (Maximum temperature: 400 degrees F for 6 hours). To serve, carefully cut open top of oven bag. Always support the bag by keeping it in the pan. Caution: Use care when opening the bag. Steam will escape. Always support bottom of bag with pan. Do not use turkey size oven bag for less than 8 lbs of food.
