Description
Oven-toasted oat streusel with sweet-tart brambleberry jam of blackberries and blackcurrants layered throughout vanilla ice cream. I first made this flavor in 2009 for a collection highlighting the flavors and culture of Appalachia. It's inspired by the brambly berry bushes of blackberries and blackcurrants that grow all over the hillsides of the Appalachian foothills—the ones I would pick as a child.
